The First Noel, the Angel Did Say (저 들 밖에 한밤중에)

1. The first Noel, the angel did say,

저 들 밖에 한밤중에
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay
양 틈에 자던 목자들
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep,
천사들이 전하여 준
On a cold winter's night that was so deep.
주 나신 소식 들었네

(Refrain) Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel,
(후렴) 노엘 노엘 노엘 노엘
Born is the King of Israel. (Amen)

2. They looked up and saw a star

저 동방에 별 하나가
Shining in the east, beyond them far
이상한 빛을 비추어
And to the earth it gave great light,
이 땅 위에 큰 영광이
And so it continued both day and night.
나타날 징조 보였네

3. This star drew nigh to the northwest,

그 한 별이 베들레험
O'er Bethlehem it took its rest,
향하여 바로 오더니
And there it did both stop and stay,
아기 예수 누우신 집
Right over the place where Jesus lay.
그 위에 오자 멈췄네

4. Then entered in there wisemen three,

동방 박사 세 사람이
Full rev'rently upon the knee,
새 아기 보고 절하고
And offer'd there, in His presence,
그 보배합 다 열어서
Their gold and myrrh, and frankinsense.
세가지 예물 드렸네
