감람산 깊은 밤중에
The star is dimmed that lately shone
별빛은 희미하여라
'Tis midnight; in the garden now
주 예수 고민하시며
The suffring Saviour prays alone.
외로이 기도하시네
2. 'Tis midnight; and from all removed,
주 홀로 깊은 밤중에
The Saviour wrestles lone with fears
고민에 싸여 계시나
E'en that disciple whom He loved
그 사랑 받던 제자도
Heeds not His Master's grief and tears.
스승의 고민 모르네
3. 'Tis midnight; and for others' guilt
한밤중 피 땀 흘리며
The Man of Sorrows weeps in blood
인간의 죄를 지신 주
Yet He that hath in anguish knelt
무릎 끓고 애쓸 때
Is not forsaken by His God.
성부는 힘을 주시네
4. 'Tis midnight; and form heav'nly plains
한밤중 하늘로부터
Is borne the song that angels know
천사의 노래 들리니
Unheard by mortals are the strains
인간은 듣지 못하나
That sweetly soothe the Saviour's woe. Amen.
