Immortal tidings in your mortal hands,
불명의 소식 손에 들고서
Pass on and carry swift the news ye bring:
그 소식 널리 전파하여서
Make, straight, make straight the highway of the King.
대왕의 길을 곧게 닦아라
2. Through des-ert ways, dark fen, and deep morass,
마른 사막 또 습한 땅 거쳐
Through jungles, sluggish seas, and mountain pass,
밀림과 바다 높은 산 지나
Build ye the road, and falter not, nor stay
주저치 말고 길을 닦아서
Pre-pare across the earth the King's highway.
주님의 길을 예비하여라
3. Lord, give us faith and strength the road to build,
믿음 주사 그 길을 닦아서
To see the promise of the day fulfilled,
약속의 성취 보게 하소서
When war shall be no more and strife shall cease
싸움이 없고 다툼 그칠 때
Upon the highway of the Prince of peace. Amen.
