Matthew 17:9~13 (마태복음 17:9~13)

9 As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them , "Don't tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead."

9 저희가 산에서 내려 올 때에 예수께서 명하여 가라사대 인자가 죽은 자 가운데서 살아나기 전에는 본 것을 아무에게도 이르지 말라 하시니

10 The disciples asked him, "Why then the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first?"

10 제자들이 묻자와 가로되 그러면 어찌하여 서기관들이 엘리야가 먼저 와야 하리라 하나이까

11 Jesus replied, "To be sure, Elijah comes and will restore all things. 

11 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 엘리야가 과연 먼저 와서 모든 일을 회복하리라

12 But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands."

12 내가 너희게에 말하노니 엘리야가 이미 왔으되 사람들이 알지 못하고 임의로 대우하였도다 인자도 이와 같이 그들에게 고난을 받으리라 하시니

13 Then the disciples understood that he was talking to them about Jhon the Baptist.

13 그제야 제자들이 예수의 말씀하신 것이 세례 요한 인줄을 깨달으니라
