Awake My Soul (내 영혼아 곧 깨어)

1. Awake, my soul, with singing! Sing praises to the Lord,
내 영혼아 곧 깨어주 찬양하여라
Who rules all earth and heaven And guides them by His word.
이 천지 만물 모두 주 다스리시네

Upon His throne exalted He reigns for evermore

저 높은 보좌 위에 주 앉아 계시니
Be-fore His awesome splendor We worship and adore.
그 빛난 위엄 앞에다 경배하여라

2. How full of might and mercy The God of time and space!
큰 권능 가득하신 대 주재 하나님
How splendid in its working The providence of grace!
은혜로 섭리하신 그 역사 빛나네
How fair His earth and ocean And all His hand hath made!
온 땅과 넓은 바다 또 높은 하늘에
How richly in the heavens His beauty is display'd!
주 창조하신 만물 참 아름답도다

3. In trou-bles or in hunger Of body or of soul,
나 고난 받을 때 나 또 주릴 때에도
My Lord is ev-er near me To comfort and make whole.
내 주님 나를 항상 위로해 주시네
And though I'm poor and paltry, With nothing to display,
추하고 곤궁하며 보잘 것 없으나
My Lord still holds me precious, And holds me close alway.
주 나와 함께 계셔 늘 권고하시네

 4. Our great God's name befitting, What praises can we frame
높으신 주의 이름 다 어찌 기리랴
So high He is and holy, So precious is His name!
내 주는 높으시고 그 이름 귀하다
What though I'm so unworthy I'm His whom I adore!
나 비록 비천하나 나 주의 것이니
And, His dear name exalting, I'll praise Him evermore.

또 영원 무궁토록 주 이름 높이리
