 Matthew 14:13~21 (마태복음 14:13~21)

13 When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns. 

13 예수께서 들으시고 배를 타고 떠나사 따로 빈 들에 들어 가시니 무리가 듣고 여러 고을로부터 걸어서 좇아간지라

 

14 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

14 예수께서 나오사 큰 무리를 보시고 불쌍히 여기사 그중에 있는 병인을 고쳐 주시니라

15 As evening approched. the disciples came to him and said, "This is remote place, and it's already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food." 

15 저녁이 되매 제자들이 나아와 가로되 이곳은 빈 들이요 때도 이미 저물었으니 무리를 보내어 마을에 들어가 먹을 것을 사 먹게 하소서

 

16 Jesu replied, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat."

16 예수께서 가라사대 갈 것 없다 너희가 먹을 것을 주어라

17 "We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish," they answered.

17 제자들이 가로되 여기 우리에게 있는 것은 떡 다섯 개와 물고기 두 마리뿐이니이다

18 "Bring them here to me," he said.

18 가라사대 그것을 내게 가져 오라 하시고

19 And he directed the people sit down on the grass. Taking five loaves and two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.

19 무리를 명하여 잔디 위에 앉히시고 떡 다섯 개와 물고기 두 마리를 가지사 하늘을 우러러 축사하시고 떡을 떼어 제자들에게 주시매 제자들이 무리에게 주니

20 They all ate and were satisfied and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.

20 다 배불리 먹고 남은 조각을 열두 바구니에 차게 거두었으며

21 The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.

21 먹은 사람은 여자와 아이 외에 오 천 명이나 되었더라
