19 After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt

19 헤롯이 죽은 후에 주의 사자가 애굽에서 요셉에게 현몽하여 가로되

20 and said, "Get up, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Isrel, for those who were trying to take child's life are dead." 

20 일어나 아기와 그 모친을 데리고 이스라엘 땅으로 가라 아기의 목숨을 찾던 자들이 죽었느니라 하시니

those who~ : ~하는 사람들 

 

21 So he got up, took the child and his mother and went to the land of Isrel.

21 요셉이 일어나 아기와 그 모친을 데리고 이스라엘 땅으로 들어오니라

22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee,

22 그러나 아켈라오가 그 부친 헤롯을 이어 유대의 임금 됨을 듣고 거기로 가기를 무서워하더니 꿈에 지시하심을 받아 갈릴리 지방으로 떠나가

in place of : ~을 대신하여 (ex) She couldn't go and so I attended the conference in placw of her.

having been warned는 분사구문(이유)으로 'because he had been warned~'의 의미 

withdrew : withdraw의 과거, 물러나다 (명사 withdrawal)

23 and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets: "He will be called a Nazarene." 

23 나사렛이란 동네에 와서 사니 이는 선지자로 하신 말씀에 나사렛 사람이라 칭하리라 하심을 이루려 함이러라
