Matthew 6:19~24 (마태복음 6:19~24)

19 Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves breake in and steal.

19 너희를 위하여 보물을 땅에 쌓아 두지 말라 거기는 좀과 동록이 해하지 못하며 도적이 구멍을 뚫고 도적질하느니라

store up 비축(저장)하다

where moth and rust destroy 는 for on earth moth and rust destroy의 의미, 이때 where는 비제한적 용법의 관계부사 ('접속사+부사'의 형태로 바꿀 수 있다) 바로 다음의 where도 마찬가지 경우 

20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not breake in and steal.

20 오직 너희를 위하여 보물을 하늘에 쌓아 두라 거기는 좀이나 동록이 해하지 못하며 도적이 구멍을 뚫지도 못하고 도적질도 못하느니라

21 For where your treasures is, there your heart will be also. 

21 네 보물이 있는 그 곳는 네 마음도 있느니라

22 " The eye is the lamp of the body, if your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light.

22 눈은 몸의 등불이니 그러므로 네 눈이 성하면 온 몸이 밝을 것이요

23 But if your eyes are bad your whole body will be full of darkness. If then light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

23 눈이 나쁘면 온몸이 어두울 것이니 그러므로 네게 있는 빛이 어두우면 그 어두움이 얼마나 하겠느냐

24 " No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.

24 한 사람이 두 주인을 섬기지 못할 것이니 혹 이를 미워하며 저를 사랑하거나 혹 이를 중히 여기며 저를 경히 여김이라

너희가 하나님과 재물을 겸하여 섬기지 못하느니라

despise 경멸하다 얕보다

Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will~ : either A or B', (the) one, the other는 '둘 중의 하나, 나머지 하나'의 의미

both A and B는 'A, B 둘 다'의 의미 (both God and money, 하나님과 재물)
