Matthew 27:11~18 (마태복음 27:11~18)
11 Meanwhile Jesus sttod before the governor, and the governor asked him, "Are you the king of the Jews/" "Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied.
11 예수께서 총독 앞에 섰으매 총독이 물어 가로되 네가 유대인의 왕이냐 예수께서 대답하시되 네 말이 옳도다 하시고
12 When he was accusesed by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answer
12 대제사장들과 장로들에게 고소를 당하되 아무 대답도 아니하시는지라
13 Then Piate asked him. "Don't you hear the testimony they are bringing against you?"
13 이에 빌라도가 이르되 저희가 너를 쳐서 얼마나 많은 것으로 증거하는지 듣지 못하느냐 하되
14 But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge-to the great amazement to the governor
14 한 마디도 대답지 아니하시니 총독이 심히 기이히 여기더라
15 Now it was the governor's custom at the Feast to release the prisoner chosen by the crowd.
15 명절을 당하면 총독이 무리의 소원대로 죄수 하나를 놓아 주는 전례가 있더니
16 At that time they had a notoriousprisoner, called Barabbas.
16 그때에 바라바라 하는 유명한 죄수가 있는데
17 So when the crowd gathered, Philate asked them. "Which one do you want me to release to you: Barabbas, Jesus who is called Christ?"
17 저희가 모였을 때에 빌라도가 물어 가로되 너희는 내가 누구를 너희에게 놓아 주기를 원하느냐 바라바냐 그리스도라 하는 예수냐 하니
18 For he knew it was ot of envy that they had handed Jesus over to him.
18 이는 저가 그들의 시기로 예수를 넘겨준 줄 앎이러라
